There are acequias in northern NM which feed the fields and gardens. Water ways dug out from the sides of mountain rivers. This is how a high mountain desert area can farm, even on low rain fall years! Hence the angel of farming and ditches. Here is a double door design for bathroom on the carson mesa of Taos. My vision starting at the top, a water drop ripple into a water falling landing in a bigger body of water. Commissioned by the Yven family in May 2009 and completed in June 2009 with a budget of $1400.00. Made of sugar pine and 31"x80" inches.

A panel made of sugar pine 14'x26' is inspired by my students at UNM Taos in the wood carving basics class. Whom were carving many panels in the folk art style of northern New Mexico.

These doors were commissioned in Nov. 2007 and completed in Dec. 2007 and April 2008. Sugar pine is the wood used making the doors and the Budget was $3000.

cob house

This house was started in 1996 and completed in 1999 and continues to be approved. The budget $46,000 and most of the materials were collected. Rocks for the foundation were harvested from the ski valley road and near by canyon. The clay for the walls came from the digging of the foundation and a root cellar. All the earth moving was done by hand with pikes, shovels, buckets and wheel barrels. Two colors of finish grade clay found, were applied to finish the walls in and out. Wood for the second story was milled from Ponderosa pine burned in the 1996 lama forest fire.

This piece was commissioned in Oct. 2005 and completed in May 2006. Made of Sugar Pine and stained dark. It is 8 ft long and 4 ft tall. I worked closely with the client on the design and function. The budget was $9500.oo.
